Serein is a premium French wine brand born from the tranquil vineyards of France. The name Serein comes from the French word meaning “the calm rain that falls after sunset.” This exclusive wine is served in fine dining establishments and at special occasions like weddings. Only select restaurants and liquor stores partnered with Château de Serein have the privilege of offering these wines.
Inspired by the textures and movements found in nature, I discovered that printmaking using natural elements closely aligns with my vision. I aimed to connect the organic, unpredictable textures of nature with the essence of white wine—serene, crisp, and effortlessly elegant. For my texture experiments, I gathered materials from my surroundings, printed their textures by hand, scanned them, and integrated them into the wine bottle design.
The design style is minimalist and monochrome, with subtle touches of gold to create a refined balance.
Another reason I chose this handcrafted approach is the rapid advancement of AI and technology, which has significantly influenced the way we design. In an era where everything moves so quickly, I believe it’s important to slow down, engage with the creative process by hand, and experience how we interact with materials. This method allows me to create something truly unique—beyond what a computer can generate—while bridging fine art and design.
