About the Project:
This sign was designed for the local nonprofit organization Good Thrift as part of an ongoing public art project in Chinatown.
Project Timeline:
Completed in November, 2024

Location:
110 3 Ave SE Basement level, Calgary, AB T2G 0B6
Project ideas:
Good Thrift, originally part of Good Neighbour—Calgary’s first pay-what-you-want thrift store and community pantry—supports the community with a free food section offering non-perishables, clothing, and houseware items. In 2024, Good Neighbour relocated to a building in Chinatown, reopening Good Thrift in the basement and an affordable clay studio on the main level. To support this initiative, I designed the signage, incorporating typography I created specifically for this project. The design features an artist dog and shopper cat, symbolizing the clay studio and thrift store, respectively.
Mediums:
Digital design and vinyl wrap
Design variations for the typeface
