About the Project
Lotus Fine Indian Cuisine has been a leading provider of Indian cuisine in the local community.  They are committed to good taste, healthy food, elegant space and total hygiene. 
The goal of this project was to refresh the restaurant's branding to make it more appealing and accessible, ultimately attracting a broader range of customers spanning different age groups.​​​​​​​
Problem Identification
The current logo is outdated (on the left), and not attractive to young adults
The message about food and restaurants is not clear. The logo instead of a restaurant, is more like a yoga studio or a nail salon
The logo has small and complicated details which are hard to distinguish in the small size.
Not a deliverable and hard to last long
It can’t be used in different scenarios

A well-designed logo makes the restaurant more distinctive and stylish than other Indian food
The logo should represent the brand positioning, and deliver the information the restaurant wants (good taste, high ingredients, exotic flavours, elegant ambiance, cultural connection, dining experience)

Refine the Design Concept
Maintain the iconic lotus flower emblem, a revered symbol in Indian culture, harmonizing with the restaurant's name. Departing from the intricate details of the previous logo, the updated design streamlines the lotus flower's form, enhancing its recognizability and adaptability across various sizes and mediums. Simplifying the colour palette to white, pink, and light green infuses a contemporary vibe and a refreshing aura, aligning seamlessly with modern aesthetics.
